Meet Astrologer Deborah Lee

My love of astrology and metaphysics awakened at age seventeen. I began my practice by doing manual astrological charts for many people. Fortunately, I was among the first to purchase computerized professional astrological software!
Since these early beginnings, my expertise as an astrologer has been built upon a lifetime of serious study and broad professional experience. Additionally, my work as a counselor has significantly enabled me to deepen my astrological knowledge, which in turn has greatly supported my therapeutic work with clients.
Over the years, I have noticed that using astrological language with non-astrologers can sometimes overwhelm the person seeking help. Subsequently, I learned to combine my intuitive astrological expertise and communication skills in order to make astrology easily understandable and applicable to daily life.
While there are many psychological evaluation tools, I have found that astrology is the most comprehensive psycho-spiritual assessment tool available today. I will add that dreamwork is the most profound internal system for accessing intuition directly. Meditation is a close tie. Thankfully, I have been able to practice or teach these sacred arts personally and professionally.
Professional Education and Astrological Background
I am grateful to the many astrologers who influenced my growth in Boston, New York, and elsewhere. For four years in the 1980s, I studied with astrologers and participated in many conferences at the A.R.E. in Virginia Beach. I also studied with leading astrologers at the Washington State Astrological Association in Seattle during the 1990s. Additionally, I attended national astrology conferences regularly for many years.
My professional education includes a B.A. in philosophy (with distinction, with a concentration in spiritual studies and mysticism) and a master’s degree in counseling.
My background as a therapist enriches my skills as an intuitive astrologer and vice versa. The common thread in my work has been a strong interest in caring for the soul or psyche. As Carl Jung said, counseling without access to the birth chart blinds us unnecessarily. Astrology provides a wealth of information, enabling the counselor to attune to issues quickly. My experience has proven this to be true.

Additional Training and Experience
In 1991, I trained with Donna Cunningham, MSW, who combined psychological astrology with flower essence therapy. Donna authored numerous books on astrology and flower essences. I began working with Bach flower therapy and the Flower Essence Services (FES) line at that time. Donna, like me, had a background as a therapist, astrologer, and flower essence practitioner. Her significant contributions to these fields have been a blessing to me.
After obtaining Bach flower therapy certification, my professional development continued through clinical practice, ongoing studies, observation, and research. Individual flower essences, alone or in combination with essential oils, balance the soul’s polarities. They enable the resolution of your soul’s issues, as seen in the astrological charts and shared in our sessions. I may suggest flower formulas for you. They are available online, locally, or through me.
My expertise also includes a deep passion for dream work. I have conducted numerous dream therapy groups, classes, and seminars. I have also hosted several hour-long radio shows on dream work, during which callers discussed their dreams. If you wish to share any dreams, our work together may deepen.

Some astrological indicators that reveal your innate strengths and challenges are the Moon and its nodes, the Sun, Pluto and their respective aspects and placements, and the chart as a whole.
The Moon’s nodes are two points where the Moon’s orbit intersects the ecliptic. The Moon’s north node represents our soul’s intention or life purpose. For optimal growth, we must integrate our innate talents and wounds from our past (south node) with the qualities gained by pursuing the soul’s current life purpose (north node).
Astrology does not compel; it impels. This means that when we flow with our purpose, we experience less catastrophe (this word means going against the stars). It is also important to remember that our struggles and pain can optimally lead to a sense of purpose by applying our will. Intuitive astrology helps us choose the path of acceptance and wisdom through the ups and downs of life.
